First incarnation: Astra mk2 SXi 1.8

All traces of rust and faded paintwork removed.

1.8 engine became economically unserviceable.

Calibra V6 2.5 car sourced for new engine transplant, running gear and various parts.

Wide-arch body-kit sourced along with second-hand Punto mk2 headlights for shape moulding.

Hardening foam used to create first shape.

Calibra V6 cooling systems fitted, engine bay reworked to suit.

Second incarnation: Astra mk2 GTE 1.8

GTE and After-market trims and lights fitted.

V6 2.5 engine fitted to Astra mk2 engine bay with mounting modifications.

Bonnet, wings and lights made to lift as one.

After-market lights sourced, front shaping begins.

Fibre-glassing and shaping.

Rear arches cut-out to suit new body-kit.

Steel plates moulded for new arches.
